Hi, We’re Dan and Marian!
We own and operate Burlington House Buyers. We live in Burlington with our old black lab, Bertha. Dan manages the day to day operations with his assistant, and Marian is the ultimate decision maker (we all know who’s boss.) We LOVE buying and selling houses.
Dan has a true passion for seeing projects come together, and an eye for design. He is an entrepreneur, renovation expert, private lender, property manager, and lover of dogs. He also enjoys all things outdoors, especially fly fishing.
We would like to think we are not the typical “We Buy Houses” company. We are a local family owned company who follow family values. We believe in honesty and being transparent. It starts with putting a real face to the business, and to be easily accessible and reachable. We’re Dan and Marian, the people who will be buying your house and the people that will answer the phone when you call. We are everyday people just like you, honest, hardworking, and kind.
Ship Captain Turned Real Estate Investor
In 2009, Dan Graduated from Massachusetts Maritime Academy and started sailing around the world on LNG tankers as a navigation officer. He worked his way to Captain on 280 ft supply vessels in the Gulf, and then onto massive drill ships. He left the industry to pursue endeavors that would ultimately grant him more freedom. That’s when he started binge watching house flipping shows on HGTV and thought, “I can do this!”

Hi, my name is Madeline, BHB’s Acquisition Specialist! Growing up here in Vermont, I’ve moved around nearly a dozen times and have felt the stress of selling, moving, and finding housing in our local market first-hand.
I accepted a job in property management shortly before graduating college, and have been passionate about working with homeowners and renters to bridge that gap ever since.
When I’m not absorbed in real estate, you’ll find me exercising, reading a book, or spending time with my family. I look forward to working with you!

It’s no secret that there is a severe need for affordable housing in Burlington and surrounding towns. There is also a long waiting list for good houses for government assisted renters to live in. Our commitment to the community is to provide as many good houses to those families in need. Our goal is to buy 100 houses in Burlington within the next 5 years and convert them to reliable government assisted rental houses, filling a need and allowing us to give back to a community that has been so amazing to us.
